Altar call was last night and it was pretty interesting. Please continue to pray for the followup by the Taiwan local team. I know that we as a team definitely will be as well.
Well the official LAST day of camp (and our missions trip) is tomorrow!! We will have Sunday service, and then their parents will arrive to watch their skits! Please pray for this time as it is our chance to witness to the parents who are unbelievers.
Prayer requests-
- health of the team. We are all barely holding onto good health and some of us are caught in limbo between being sick and being fine. After tomorrow we will have time to rest our bodies for sure.
- safe trip back home! Most of the members of the American team will be heading home starting Monday. I myself an leaving Monday noon. Please pray for safe journey back to the states.
Thank you ALL who have continued to check this site and helped us and prayed for us throughout our journey! We will be updating this still throughout summer, with testimonies and afterthoughts by members of the team so don't UNbookmark this page!!

July 16th Thursday
Large Group Time! Look how excited they are... hahaha don't worry this group ended up being super loud.
Superlatives - BIGGEST bubble! Sadly he didn't win... all the boys got beaten by a girl. GOOOOO Girls!
And the super cute Mega Bunny Squad with creepy Tim as their teacher. They are owning the rest of the groups by approximately 150 points. Good job, lets see if this lead lasts.
Prayer Requests:
- Salvation of the new batch of kids
- Health of the American team
- Energy for the American team
A couple more days to go!

Week 2!!!
Week 2 officially started today!!!
It rained during half of registration today so trying to shuttle kids back and forth between the dorms and the auditorium was a big hassle. It stopped halfway through though.
In other news, there was a 6.7 magnitude earthquake off the east coast of Taiwan last night just after 2am. We felt a tremor here for a little bit. I was awoken for a little bit but only thought it was my dream (or my roomate climbing the ladder to his bunk). I then got a call from one of the girls on our team asking if I felt the shaking, so that's how I knew it was real. Hopefully no one was hurt in this earthquake, but incase there was, please keep those who are hurt in prayer.
Round 2 of hai dai.
EPIC conclusion to hai dai.
Prayer Requests-
- Building up relationships with kids because we have a lot of OLDER kids (one group has 16 kids aged between 14-18)
- Energy- a lot of us are feeling tired because it is the 2nd week and so we have expectations about how it is SUPPOSE to be. Also we are 2 coworkers short this week compared to last week.
- Health- Always a good thing to have good health.
- More saved souls this week at the altar call

Late Post 7/12
Hi everyone!
We know this is a late post! But we've been so busy taking lots of pictures and videos and just sharing God's love with these kids that we got a bit stuck with the updates!
We're going to be posting a lot of stuff soon... but right now we're just relaxing until our full day of meetings tomorrow.
We had our skit time this week and it was pretty good! Praise God for all the kids that He brought to us this past week and we are continually praying for the growth of those that came to Christ this week and those who were already Christians and we continue to pray for the salvation of those who are still deciding.
If everyone could pray for our next week that would be great. We're losing 2 of our American Teachers and we have less taiwanese co-workers as well. We are also low on energy, but happy nonetheless.
In Christ,

Altar Call Tonight!!
Please PLEASE pray for tonight! Tonight's program will first be about the Holiday of Easter- Jesus death and resurrection. Our own Richard will also share his testimony, and then the local pastor will lead the kids into an altar call.
Also please continue to pray for health and energy! We are 4 days into camp (feels like more). Sunday is our last day and we will finally be able to rest a little bit before the next camp starts on Tuesday!

First day of camp!
Our intro video introducing the American Teacher team.
7/7- First day of camp has finished and the kids are a handful already! But praise God that registration and orientation went relatively smoothly. The Taiwan small group leaders are very good and efficient this year which makes our jobs a little bit easier. The night program consisted of introductions of both American and Taiwan teams, 2 songs, the game Telephone, and the drawing of their team flags.
Prayer requests-
- Health- It has only been the first day and we are all feeling a little bit physically drained. Please pray that we are able to spend our energy wisely and also be able to rest up when we have the time.
- Safety- Today is our first full day of camp. In the afternoon the kids will be running around playing games and hopefully no one will be hurt.
Thank you for all your continued prayer support! More updates to follow.

7/6 Monday 3pm- Taiwan local and I demonstrating a game.
7/6 Monday 10pm-
Praise God that our team has finally met and been officially introduced to each other! Team chemistry seems to be going pretty well. We also had a chance to sing and pray together during a prayer meeting. We are all very excited since tomorrow is the day that the student campers are coming. Lots of preparation still needs to be completed.
List of prayer requests:
- Health- Everyone is doing ok at the moment, with the exception of a few morning sniffles here and there. Please pray for continued good health as we will be working a lot harder when the kids are here.
- Student Campers- Today they will be coming to register in the afternoon. Please pray for the health and safety of the kids throughout the week. Also pray for their hearts as well as we will be sharing our testimonies and have an altar call on Friday night.
- Team Unity- The chemistry between both the Taiwan local coworker team and the American Team has been really good. Hopefully this continues throughout the week as we will be working very closely with each other.
Thank you all for your continued prayer support! More updates to follow.
God is awesome.

Sunday Worship in Taiwan
Happy Sunday Afternoon everyone!
So, this Sunday we went to one of the local host churches to attend their worship. They made Albert translate on the spot and i guess it was pretty good. In any event the themes we will be doing our devotions during the camp are as follows:
Humility
Forgiveness
Loving Heart
Caring
Joy
We're praying for humility so that we can understand God forgiveness and call others to repentance by expressing Christ's love through caring for them so that they can worship together with us in joy!
Everyone keep praying! We really need your help to pray hard for these kids and all the co-workers.

Here in Taiwan...
Hello Everyone!
We're here in Taiwan as you all know. Thank you everyone for praying for our safety beacuse we got here with no problems. No luggage problems, no sickness problems, no issues with passports, or visas, so, thank God everything was a-ok.
We had a chance to meet up with the Taiwanese co-workers that are organizing the Taiwanese team! They were really cool and seemed to be really on fire to do a good job at this camp. And we also found out that all of our co-workers for the first week are Christians! I'm praying that we click well with the Taiwanese Co-workers quickly so we can really begin to lift each other up in prayer and prepare to be used by God to change some kid's lives.
Now, on the topic of kid's lives, here's a little thing that happened while we were at a random store in Taipei. A woman was staring at us, and next to her were two middle school aged kids. (i'm not sure if they were in middle school but they looked like it). Anyways, she started talking to us and the reason is because her kids had attended the VBS portion of the camp a number of years ago and they were hoping that there would be a program for the older kids. Now, sad to say there wasn't any space this year because of the reduced workers so we had to have a smaller camp... BUT, its still encouraging to hear that the VBS program at YZU had an impact for these kids to want to come back. Now, i don't know if they're Christian, or if they came to Christ at the VBS or anything... but, nevertheless it was encouraging to hear that people want to come back to this camp.
That's all I have for now! So, until next time!
